Dr Martin Auerbach examines how Holocaust-related trauma marks later generations, including the refusal and denial that travel with it, and then turns to the harder question of recognising the trauma of the other in the context of the Israel-Palestine conflict. The lecture belongs to the postponed spring series "In the Shadow of War - the Way Forward", run by the Norwegian Center for Holocaust and Minority Studies with the University of Oslo. In English.
