Twenty-six summers in, this is still the outdoor screening every New Yorker names first. The lawn opens at six and fills fast; by sunset several thousand people are picnicking on the grass with the Manhattan skyline and the illuminated Brooklyn Bridge sitting directly behind the screen. Bring a blanket, bring dinner, and claim your square metre early — capacity is strictly first-come, first-served.
