Coney Island closes out its summer fireworks run with displays on the last two Fridays of August, launched over the water at 21:45 and visible free from the boardwalk, the beach and the amusement parks. No ticket, no gate: walk down from the subway, find a spot on the sand and watch. The season ends 28 August, so there is nothing in September.
