The Charlie Parker Jazz Festival opens its 2026 edition with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, the most decorated big band in the country, playing outdoors for a park crowd rather than a concert hall. Three days of free jazz follow, staged in the neighbourhoods where Bird lived and worked. Arrive early with a blanket for the front of the field.
