Bank holiday Monday is Carnival at full volume: the Adults Parade in its most elaborate costume, static sound systems stacked along the residential streets, and the judging zone where bands compete for the year's titles. Caribbean food stalls run the length of the route. Expect enormous crowds, and work out your station exit before you arrive rather than after.
