The 17th Popfest Wien showcases more than 50 acts from Austria's pop, indie, hip-hop, electronic and experimental scenes across stages around Karlsplatz, with the floating lake stage in front of the Karlskirche as its centrepiece. Curated in 2026 by Sofie Royer and Wolfgang Lehmann, the four-day festival is entirely free to attend, drawing big crowds to one of Vienna's most photogenic squares on warm summer evenings.
