Über dieses Event
The first of Madrid's three castizo August verbenas. The streets around Cascorro and the Rastro are strung with paper lanterns, chulapos and chulapas turn out in waistcoats and mantones, and the chotis plays late into the night beside lemonade stalls, children's games and a religious procession from the church of San Cayetano. Concerts and street performances fill the squares.
