The Latvian National Theatre stages a family-friendly musical production set in 1582, performed in the open air on Dome Square as part of the city's 825th birthday programme. Two performances only — a late evening one on the Friday and a matinee on the Saturday — with the cathedral square itself as the set. Expect a large standing audience; arrive early for a sightline.
