Dublin City Council's long-running free opera series returns to the Wood Quay Amphitheatre for lunchtime performances each August Thursday. Each opera is staged in an abridged, hour-long format narrated in English, making the art form accessible to newcomers. The amphitheatre's raised stage, seating and grassy verges are perfect for a picnic lunch, with wheelchair-accessible space available and all welcome.
