On selected weekends from spring through October, Bucharest closes the historic Calea Victoriei to traffic and hands the boulevard to pedestrians for its Open Streets / Strazi Deschise programme. The car-free avenue fills with free concerts, street performances, workshops, games and pop-up activities for all ages, turning one of the capital's grandest streets into a lively, family-friendly public space at no cost.
