About this event
Every two years the UNESCO-listed Grand-Place is carpeted in flowers, and for 2026 more than 100 volunteers lay some 500,000 dahlias across 1,680 m² to recreate Hokusai's iconic 'Great Wave'. Viewing the square-level carpet is free, and each evening a free sound-and-light show animates the display half-hourly between 9pm and 11pm.
