The Balearics sit in the path of totality for the 12 August 2026 total solar eclipse, and the Govern has designated 26 official observation zones across the islands — nine on Mallorca, including Platja de Palma. The zones were chosen for visibility, access, parking and emergency cover rather than for the very best view, and they spread crowds away from fragile natural sites.
