The opening act of WorldPride 2026 is a protest march rather than a party: tens of thousands walk from the Dam through the centre of Amsterdam to the Vondelpark, carrying banners for LGBTIQ+ rights and closing at the Pride Park opening. It is the moment the fortnight's political register is set, and anyone can simply join the column.
